1. Introduction of Acetone

Acetone, also known as dimethyl ketone, is a kind of organic matter, the molecular formula is C3H6O, is the simplest saturated ketone. It is a colorless transparent liquid with a slight aroma. Soluble in water and methanol, ethanol, ether, chloroform, pyridine and other organic solvents. Flammable, volatile, more active chemical properties. In the industry, it is mainly used as a solvent for explosives, plastics, rubber, fiber, leather, grease, paint and other industries, and can also be used as an important raw material for the synthesis of ketone, acetic anhydride, iodoform, polyisoprene rubber, methyl methacrylate, chloroform, epoxy resin and other substances.

Transportation and storage

type of shipping

During transportation, the transport vehicles shall be equipped with corresponding varieties and quantities of fire-fighting equipment and leakage emergency treatment equipment. It's best to transport in the morning and evening in summer. The tank car used in transportation shall be equipped with grounding chain, and a hole diaphragm can be set in the tank to reduce static electricity caused by vibration. Mixed loading and transportation with oxidants, reducing agents, alkalis, edible chemicals, etc. are strictly prohibited. During transportation, it shall be protected from sun exposure, rain and high temperature. During stopover, keep away from kindling, heat source and high temperature area. The exhaust pipe of the vehicle carrying this article must be equipped with a fire stop device. It is forbidden to use mechanical equipment and tools that are easy to produce sparks for loading and unloading. During highway transportation, drive according to the specified route, and do not stay in residential areas and densely populated areas. It is forbidden to slip away during railway transportation. It is strictly prohibited to transport in bulk with wooden ships and cement ships.

Storage method

1. This product is highly flammable and has serious fire hazard. It belongs to class a fire hazard substance. Store in a cool, dry and well ventilated place, away from heat source, fire source and taboo substances. All containers shall be placed on the ground. However, acetone stored and recovered for a long time often has acidic impurities and is corrosive to metals.

2. It shall be packed in 200l iron drum with a net weight of 160kg. The interior of the iron drum shall be clean and dry. Store in a dry and ventilated place, keep the temperature below 35 ℃, prevent violent impact during loading, unloading and transportation, and prevent sun and rain. Store and transport according to the regulations on fire and explosion-proof chemicals.

3. Store in a cool and well ventilated special warehouse, away from fire and heat source. The storage temperature should not exceed 29 ℃. Keep the container sealed. It shall be stored separately from oxidant, reductant and alkali, and mixed storage shall not be allowed. Explosion proof lighting and ventilation facilities shall be adopted. It is forbidden to use mechanical equipment and tools that are easy to produce sparks. The storage area shall be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and appropriate receiving materials.
