4. Security
Poisonous. When attached to diseased or injured skin or consumed, it may at first appear anaesthetic and cause specific pathological changes in the liver and kidneys, followed by sudden death (without prolonged latency) from central nervous paralysis. Oral LD50 of mice ranged from 210 to 420mg/kg. Production equipment should be sealed to prevent leakage, operators wear protective equipment. People with skin trauma are strictly prohibited to contact with this product.
Aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized iron drum or plastic drum packaging, or tank truck according to the provisions of inflammable and toxic goods storage and transportation. Because the melting point is as high as 20℃, the tank car should be equipped with heating pipe.
Usage
Mainly used in the manufacture of tetrahydrofuran, Y-butyrolactone, polyurethane and thermoplastic engineering plastic PBT resin. Can also be prepared N-methylpyrrolidone, N-vinyl pyrrolidone and other pyrrolidone derivatives, also used for the preparation of vitamin B6, pesticides, herbicides and used as a variety of process solvents, plasticizers, lubricants, humidifiers, softening agents, adhesives and electroplating industry brightener.
